How to Use the Information on the C.N.P.S. website:
This
instructional website is intended to assist people in developing a
basic understanding of the plant diversity in Manitoba and specifically
in the Gull Lake Wetlands area and other rare ecosystems.
A nice means of becoming familiar with the plants, and especially the
orchid species that can be viewed in Manitoba is via the Pictorial Index.
As background information, view the reference website
links and other documentation such as the Canadian Parks and Wilderness
Society, 'Proposed
Protected Areas of Manitoba' Adobe Acrobat file.
Through C.N.P.S. Field Trips, you will receive a hands on opportunity
to experience the
biodiversity of Manitoba and a great introduction to
the field of botany (the study of plants).
